One of Coach Jennie’s favorite running memories is completing her first 5K with her dad as a little girl. It was that moment that lit the spark in her to run through school and into her adult life. Before focusing her career on helping others with their health and wellness Jennie was a Chemistry and Biology High School teacher who continued running as a way of staying balanced in her life. This included maintaining her weight and endurance after having 3 kids and 2 ACL surgeries, managing her lupus, and emptying her mind while finding a quiet outlet to stay grounded. Eager to share her passion and competitiveness for running Jennie started the Vitality Runners program which has coached clients from their first 5K’s to their first ultra-marathons, and nothing excites her more than cheering them across the finish line or crossing it beside them. As a multi-marathoner herself, she knows the joy and exhilaration running can bring along with the sacrifice and mental fortitude needed at times and she loves sharing the journey with her runners. This includes educating and empowering them to strive for the balance between movement, rest, intentional nutrition with her “Focus on Your Fork Program”, and mindset which can result in a positive lasting impact on their lives.

Jennie Phillips is a Certified Personal Trainer and Nutritionist from the National Academy of Sports Medicine specializing in Corrective Exercise, Fitness Nutrition, Weight Loss, and Behavior Change. She is a RRCA Certified Run Coach, and a Performance and Functional Movement Specialist who practices kinesiology taping, instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization, flossing, and cupping. Jennie owns Vitality Fitness Studio, authors the blog “Secrets to Vitality Living” and designed Virtual Vitality to teach, mentor, motivate, and train clients outside of the physical gym location knowing no distance or excuse is too great when a client is determined and dedicated.
