Lindsay Hustedde (formally Zeiler) assisted the Florida State women’s cross country program as a volunteer assistant and Graduate assistant for head women’s cross country coach Karen Harvey for three years. Hustedde also completed three years of High School cross country coaching as Head Men’s and Women’s coach with Massac County High School for two years and Head Women's coach at McCracken County High School for one year.
Hustedde assisted the Florida State Women’s cross country team to an NCAA Division I National Runner-Up title in 2010 and NCAA Division I National Podium team (4th place) in 2011. Hustedde assisted in coaching Colleen Quigley who was an FSU cross country and Track and Field All-American, NCAA Div. I Champion in the 3k Steeple and recent 3K Steeple Olympian (8th place finals). While at FSU, Hustedde also coached All-Americans Violah Lagat, Amanda Winslow, Linden Hall, and Pilar McShine. Hustedde assisted with On-Campus Official and Unofficial recruiting, coaching, travel, and equipment. Hustedde functioned as assistant meet director during all home competitions.
Before coming to FSU, Hustedde was interim Head distance coach at Murray State University.
Zeiler competed as a student-athlete for Southeast Missouri State University while completing a degree in Health Management/Exercise Science. During her collegiate career, Zeiler earned 10 Ohio Valley Conference Championship Titles and became a four-time NCAA Midwest Regional Qualifier in mid-distance to distance events. She ran a 4:28.24 in the 1500 meter run at Louisiana State University during the NCAA Midwest Regional to record in the top 10 list at Southeast Missouri State University.
Prior to collegiate running, Zeiler starred at Massac County High School in Metropolis, Illinois while collecting four-time Illinois State Track and Field Championship Titles in the 1600 and 3200 meters, 3rd place Illinois cross country title, and a sub-five minute mile split.
Lindsay’s running motto is laugh a lot and have fun while challenging your body to limits you didn’t think possible and leaving your competition in the dust!
