Don Yakstis is an avid nutrition enthusiast, reading and learning everything he can about how food affects the body. He has been a nutrition coach for the past two years, sharing his passion and helping others. He is a firm believer in nourishing the body with delicious foods and figuring out what works for each individual based on their genetics, preferences and lifestyle. More fun facts about Don: He is an Army veteran who has reclaimed his fitness. After an injury keep him immobile, he found himself turning to food for comfort and the pounds came with it. It was a cycle of emotional eating, feeling bad, more eating. He found himself at 250lbs, his heaviest. The battle began. He knew it was time to make changes and find happiness. He battled back and lost over 75lbs. He became an obstacle course racer with a top 20 finish in an Elite event, and represented Team USA as a competitor in the 2016 Obstacle Course World Championships in Canada. He holds a CrossFit Level 1 Trainer certificate. He is currently training for his first FULL marathon!
